Our client, a prominent organization in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced and driven Legal Counsel to join their team on a contract basis in Glasgow, United Kingdom. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate closely with diverse teams on high-impact projects, including the development, construction, and operation of innovative energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project-level technical contract support to Engineering & Construction, Asset Management, and Operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with global legal, contractual, and risk management policies to minimize corporate liability and optimize contracts' value.
• Oversee corporate governance activities for Italian entities and manage updates to regulatory compliance models (e.g., Italian Decree no. 231/2001).
• Liaise with and coordinate external legal and tax advisors.

Skills and Expertise

• Experience in Contract Management: Minimum 3 years of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal technical contracts within the renewable energy industry (e.g., Land Agreements, EPC, O&M, AM, Grid Agreements).
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in project development, engineering, construction, asset management, and security contracts, especially in acquisition and project finance transactions.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with AML regulations, including Italian Decree no. 231/2001.
• Communication & Decision-Making: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written).
